Style and Grammar
Every page on the Knowledge Base follows a basic set of rules and principles. These guidelines will ensure consistency and ease of use on all types of Knowledge Base articles.
Chicago Style
For general grammar and punctuation, the Knowledge Base follows the most updated version of the Chicago Manual of Style.

Dates
Dates should be written May 4, 2017 or May 4.
Do not write out dates in numbers such as 05/4/2017, 5.4.12, etc.
Numbers
1. Write numbers numerically
2. If the number is at the beginning of a sentence or writing it numerically makes it awkward, spell it out.

Degree Symbol (°)
Fahrenheit, Celsius, and degree (i.e. 250 degrees Fahrenheit) should be written out in any scientific context. Whenever writing temperatures in the context of a recipe, symbols and abbreviations can be used (i.e. 250° F).
Oil should be stored at room temperature (around 70 degrees Fahrenheit).

Macron O (ō)
Anytime the word dōTERRA is written, the macron o must be utilized in order to maintain professionalism. Any other products or programs that have the macron o in the official title should also utilize it.

Latin Small Letter “a” with acute (á)
For the English language, this should only be used on Veráge product page/page titles. This should not be present in any text bodies or SEO titles.
